Biography

I graduated from Clewiston High School in Clewiston, Florida in 1998 and attended Virginia Tech on a full athletic scholarship and majored in sociology with a concentration in crime and deviance. After graduating from Virginia Tech I began working in parking service at Radford University.  During that time  I began to realize that my destiny was not to be writing parking tickets for a living, but to fulfill my passion to help educate young people, so I decided to go back to school and pursue a master’s degree in health and physical education at Virginia Tech. After completing the master’s program I worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Virginia and as a Special Education Aide at Blacksburg Middle School.  I’m very excited to be on board as a counselor with Virginia Tech Upward Bound and Talent Search program. In my free time I enjoy spending it with my family: Megan, Jada, and Jasmyn doing various things.
